1st August 2011 sees a new scheme launched by the Government which has set aside a £15m Premium Payment fund designed to assist homeowners with a grant up to £1,250. This grant is designed for eco-conscience families looking to install greener boilers and solar panels. This scheme helps to reduce not only your carbon emissions but also your utility bills.
The scheme is managed by the Energy Saving Trust http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/Generate-your-own-energy/Sell-your-own-energy/Renewable-Heat-Premium-Payment/ and runs from 1 August 2011 up until 31 March 2012.
